Obituary for Judith A. "Judy" Sommers

Judy found her joy in family, hummingbirds, gardening, and helping anyone in need. Many family and friends were recipients of the many quilts she lovingly sewed over the years. She was an active volunteer and was involved in many organizations over the years. Through school, work, and volunteering, she made many lifelong friends. Judy was also an avid Elvis fan. She will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Judy is survived by her husband of 60 years, Raymond Sommers; children, Dianne Sommers, Brian (Tracy Achin), and Scott (Denise Goodwin) Sommers; and sisters, Barbara Tyler, Linda Bullen (Charlie Voelker), Nancy (Ron) Baumer, and Kathy (Scott) Strecker. She leaves a cherished legacy through her grandchildren, Brian Clark, Brianna (Charles Hoffman-Smith), and Emily Sommers. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Reinhardt and Florence Sommers; brothers, David and Jeff Bullen; brothers-in-law, Ed Kirkeng; Arlan and Ron Sommers; and son-in-law, Jeffrey Landon Clark.

Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life to be held Saturday, May 9th, noon to four, at the American Legion in Bangor, WI.
