
Obituary for Loren O. Erickson, Jr.
He is survived by his sister, Jayne (Mike) Werren; nephew, Lucas Werren; niece, Lacy (Travis) Lube; great-nephew, Oliver Lube; uncles, Bobby Cordner (Judy) and Tommy Cordner; aunt, Edith Corder; and other relatives and friends.
Eric was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sparta.
At the age of 8 he got his 1st guitar for Christmas. He had a gift for playing guitar and other instruments. He was in several rock bands in Sparta; Mobile and the Fabulous Duck Heads, to name a few. Eric also played in other bands in the area. He loved fishing and golfing when he was younger and able. Eric also loved the cats and kittens he had over the years. He liked watching the Packers and Brewers and the news channels. Eric enlisted in the United States Army on the buddy plan with Steve Johnson. He served as a chauffeur for a colonel in Germany who sent a letter to our parents that they should be proud of what a fine young man they had raised.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Loren Sr. (Stub) and Margaret; brother, Gary (Gumby) Erickson; uncles, LaVerne Erickson, Dickie Cordner, George Loeffelholz, Bobby Tomlin and John Berckman; aunts, Helen Tomlin, Emma Loeffeholz and Betty Berckman; grandparents, Thomas and Esther Cordner and Freeman and Myrtle Erickson.
A thank you to Tomah VA staff bldg 401, 3rd floor for their wonderful care; Pat Clark, a longtime friend and bandmate for helping him, also cousins Betty Jean and Johnny Berckman for their help.
In accordance with Eric’s wishes, he did not want a formal service. Graveside burial will be held at a later date.
